All DSX Products are based on embedded particle technology and are used to great effect to modify friction. In practice, the fluoropolymer particles in DSX Extra fill the voids in the surface of moving parts, creating a smoother, better finish and fit.
It is this better finish and fit that allows for a more complete burn of diesel and petrol fuels, with a corresponding reduction in discharge emissions. The DSX Extra also facilitates a reduction in friction between the surfaces, allowing more efficient transfer of power, from the power source to where it is required.
Applications for DSX Extra are many. When used in trucks, trains, boats and construction equipment, the applications are primarily power train, engine, transmission and drive axles. Other areas where DSX Extra can be used include bearings and gears in any type of vehicle or machinery, which would benefit from a reduction in friction between its moving parts, making it more efficient.
DSX Extra does not compete with, but works with all lubricants. It is important to understand that DSX Extra is not working to improve the lubricant. All major oil companies make excellent products, the DSX Extra is working to improve the fit and finish of the metal, so the lubricant can do its job more effectively. Your existing lubricant is simply a carrier for the DSX Extra.
Engines. For engines, DSX Extra is applied with new oil at the start of a typical service cycle. Experience has shown that for the first application, DSX Extra is added to the engine oil, replacing ten percent of the total volume required. For subsequent oil changes, DSX Extra is added at a ratio of five percent.
Transmissions. DSX Extra is applied to the transmissions fluid at a ratio of ten percent.
Drive axles. DSX Extra is applied to the drive axle lubricant at a ratio of ten percent.
Note: In all cases previously mentioned, the DSX Extra is working with the existing surface condition of the engine, transmission or drive axle's moving parts. In some cases, application of the Extra has produced a very quick response, by the end of the second week for example and In other cases, improvement has been slow and steady. It is our assumption that this phenomenon is directly related to the condition of the metal surfaces at the start of the test.

DSX Extra Directions for use:
1. Shake well.
2. First service, replace 10% of normal lubricant with DSX Extra.
3. Second and subsequent services, replace 5% of normal lubricant with DSX Extra.
